Health

MDCT is delighted to be involved in several initiatives that aim to improve the physical and mental health of local residents, as well as potentially saving lives.

Health

Projects cover vital first aid enhancements through the installation of defibrillators in key locations and the provision of free Heart Start training. We have also contributed to projects that encourage local people of all ages to get active and take advantage of our beautiful outdoor environment such as the refurbishment of the playpark on Aboyne Green and the construction of the bike park in the Bell Wood.

Recent Health Projects:

  • Deeside CPR is designed to bring training to the public in Emergency Life Support and has been created by the successful completion of the PAD project during 2015. The Project with the valued assistance of our local First responder Group TMDCFR (Tarland and Mid Deeside Community First Responders) undertook training within the community (app. 300 people to date) and has established contact with various community groups, schools and individuals to bring this training to the fore.
  • Completed the refurbishment of Aboyne Green Playpark.
  • Supported outdoor initiatives  such as the Aboyne Bike Park, Aboyne Skate Park and Aboyne Paths and Tracks Group.
