- I have lived in Aboyne for the past 22 years and have been employed at Aboyne Primary School for 17 of those years. I have devoted myself to local groups throughout those years, often in a fundraising role and have served as a Community Councillor for Mid Deeside.

- I am Aberdeenshire Council's nominee to the MDCT Board. I was first elected to the council in 1999 for the then Aboyne and Glentanar Ward and since 2007 for the multi-member Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside Ward. I am Deputy Leader of the Council and also Chair of the Infrastructure Services Committee. For the past three years I have been Convenor of the Cairngorm National Park Authority. I live in Torphins with my 6 year old son.

I have lived in Aboyne for 12 years and have a daughter who attends Aboyne Primary who keeps me on my toes. My interests include climbing, music, community, gardening and reading.

My experience is in the voluntary sector, non for profit sector, government and private sector in the UK and overseas. I am an active member of the International Association of Community Development and is a registered Community Cohesion Practitioner. For the past 15 years I have contributed to delivering a range of international community focused projects that provide and develop economic services as an effective way to deliver tangible change to local communities. - After 10 years in the Women's Royal Naval Service I perused a civilian career in administration prior to starting a family and moving to the Middle East with my husband for 8 years. Since returning to the UK I have been working in the Mid Deeside area for 6 years. I am a volunteer swim coach for the local swimming club UDASC, teach swimming after school and enjoy reading.

I also worked in South Africa for 5 years managing a Scuba Diving company. I moved to Mid Deeside 13 years ago and live here with my husband and 2 children.

- I retired from the oil industry and have lived in Aboyne for 11 years. I am a keen outdoors enthusiast who enjoys mountain biking, canoeing, walking and I have also been involved with the Bike Park from initiation to the present. My belief is that we should have facilities in the area to keep young people active. I am also active as a conservation volunteer with local and national organisations.
